Monique Milne – Owner (B.Pod M.A.Pod.A.)
Monique Milne is a senior podiatrist and the owner of Proactive Podiatry. Monique started Proactive Podiatry in 2010, combining her skills of high risk, diabetes assessment and education, orthotics, ingrown toenail surgery, prolotherapy, dry needling, gait analysis, paediatrics, and professional shoe sizing and fitting, along with all areas of general podiatry to her practice. Monique has extensive clinical experience and knowledge having worked as a podiatrist within the public sector, private sector, community health and aged care.
Prior to starting Proactive Podiatry, Monique worked at the Murray Mallee Community Health Service and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she treated high-risk complex patients, and formed part of the Multidisciplinary team working alongside vascular surgeons, infectious disease physicians, endocrinologists, diabetes educators and wound care nurses. Monique is experienced in public speaking and presenting podiatry educational material to other allied health disciplines, nursing and medical staff. She has supervised and taught podiatry and third year medical students.
Monique relocated to Melbourne in 2013 and has since become a member of the Australia Podiatry Association (Vic). Tahlia North is now the practicing podiatrist, while Monique frequently visits Adelaide and continues to own and manage Proactive Podiatry.
Tahlia North – Clinical Podiatrist (B.Pod M.A.Pod.A.)
Tahlia is an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated podiatrist offering all aspects of podiatric care to her clients, with further training in acupuncture/dry needling.
She is passionate about all facets of podiatry, with a keen interest in acute/chronic heel pain, lower limb biomechanics, sports injuries, diabetes footcare, nail surgery, general and paediatric podiatry.
A strong focus for Tahlia is client care and continuing education, where she strives to get the best possible outcomes for her patients. Tahlia enjoys working with clients of all ages.
Tahlia graduated from the University of South Australia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Podiatry, where she embarked on a career in private practice. Since then she has divided her time working between podiatry clinics across the Yorke Penisula and metropolitan Adelaide, in both private practice and aged care facilities.
Prior to starting her career as a podiatrist, Tahlia worked at The Athletes Foot where she developed an acute knowledge of both athletic and everyday footwear.
Tahlia has an up to date knowledge in the latest footwear technology and determining the right footwear for your foot type.
Tahlia is currently a member of the Australian Podiatry Association.
